Job Overview
The Executive Director (ED) will oversee all operations of CG Fund in coordination with the CG Fund Board of Directors. The ED will implement the stated objectives of CG Fund, that is, to focus on supporting local Lebanese NGOs, social enterprises, and initiatives in their efforts to create sustainable jobs. To be successful in this role, the ED will be able to work with all NGOs, social enterprises, and initiatives throughout Lebanon to execute projects in partnership with like-minded organizations. The ED will be a decision maker with the authority to put into action the goals of the CG Fund Board of Directors.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinates with the CG Fund’s Board to create a business plan and budget based on CG Fund’s Vision, Mission, Objectives and Values.
- Implements the business plan based on the budget as agreed upon with CG Fund’s Board.
- Tracks and reports on strategic progress of initiatives as per the business plan and budget.
- Oversees the creation of a database and tracking of CG Fund alumni utilizing technology to facilitate data collection and reporting.
- Facilitates networking of local and international NGOs to form partnerships to achieve CG Fund’s objectives.
- Provides the NGOs with capacity building strategies, advice, and investment for the NGOs, social enterprises, and initiatives to deliver their programs more effectively.
- Submits a quarterly report in coordination with the CG Fund team on the progress of projects to CG Fund Board.
- Advises the CG Fund Board on strategic adjustments to the business plan based on knowledge of the Lebanese context so that CG Fund achieves its objectives.
- Develops policies and procedures and operational forms to ensure responsible governance of CG Fund.
Qualifications
- University graduate.
- Ten years of work experience with at least five years management experience, prior experience and working with NGOs a plus
- Advanced computer skills and familiarity with MS Office, digital marketing skills or experience a plus.
- Self-motivated and passionate about making a difference in Lebanon with the ability to lead, manage, and motivate others.
- Belief in the policy of do no harm.
Skills
- Outstanding communication skills, must be fluent in English and Arabic (French an advantage), spoken and written
- Reporting qualitative and quantitative data.
- Financial planning.
