“At a time when we had no hope of upgrading our equipment, CG Fund stepped in and changed everything,” says Akram Ashour, principal of Saida technical institution.
Due to the ongoing economic crisis in Lebanon, Akram’s institute was unable to update its outdated computer systems.
“Our old laptops couldn’t keep up with the needs of our curriculum. Now, every student, regardless of their major, is benefiting from the computers’’ Akram shared.
The institution received computers, powered by a solar energy system. This donation transformed the learning experience, allowing students to build practical skills.
“Before CG Fund’s support, our students were learning computers theoretically. They used their phones to practice because we didn’t have proper computers,” Akram added.
This initiative reflects CG Fund’s commitment to digital literacy programs in Lebanon, offering sustainable education solutions for marginalized communities and advancing youth and women empowerment through access to technology.
